About BPKIHS or B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences
B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) was established on Jan 18, 1993, and then upgraded as an autonomous Health Sciences University on Oct 28, 1998. There was a clear mandate of the institute as to figure towards developing a socially responsible and competent health workforce, providing health care & involving in innovative health research.
The Institute is located in Eastern Nepal and it has extended its continued health services through teaching district concept to Primary Health Care Centers, District Hospitals, and Zonal Hospitals in several districts of the region. This very University is just named after Bisheshwar Prasad Koirala or BP Koirala in Short. BP Koirala is Nepal’s visionary leader who had to contribute social uplifting, firm believer of national integration in Nepal Political History.
This University aims to become center of excellence in patient care, teaching, and health sector research. And has been following an integrated and holistic model in academics and services. Moreover, The institute is committed to its social responsibility and accountability. The institute has provisions for admission to different underprivileged groups/sections of the society in different academic programs.
MDMS Study Process in BPKIHS
For studying the MDMS Course, the students should pass the Common Entrance (CE) Exam. The CE exam Nepal needs to be at least passed or should score high in order to study here. Regarding the Indians or Other countries, there are Separate exams conducted.
The Admission is provided purely on the idea of merit as well as the basis of the rank. The form opening to entrance examination and admission is out there within the month of March and April every year. And the doorway exam is conducted within the month of May per annum.

So, students can get their second chance from Nepal to review MD / MS in Nepal within the recognized universities. Don’t worry, doing MD MS in Nepal is MCI authorized under certain regulations. So, the doctors who couldn’t secure a seat to hitch PG in India can prefer to join Nepal.
