About the conference
The Society of Surgeons of Nepal (SSN) is an esteemed, professional, and non-profit organization dedicated to the community of surgeons in Nepal. Established in June 1992, SSN operates as a Non-Government Organization (NGO) and is officially registered with the Kathmandu district administration office. The primary mission of SSN is to create a robust platform for surgeons to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and collaborate for mutual benefits. By fostering a supportive and dynamic environment, SSN aims to enhance both the professional and academic development of its members, ensuring they are equipped with the latest advancements and best practices in the field of surgery.
In its pursuit of excellence, SSN is committed to providing high-quality, standard, and scientifically evidencebased surgical services across Nepal. The organization actively promotes educational and research activities, recognizing that continuous learning and innovation are key to achieving its goals. The XIVth National Conference of the Society of Surgeons of Nepal, in collaboration with the SAARC Surgical Care Society, will be held from November 20th to 23rd, 2024, at the Pokhara Event Center. This prestigious event will bring together over 800 participants, including 200 international delegates, offering a unique platform for knowledge exchange and networking. Preceded by five intensive workshops on November 20th and 21st, the conference will feature presentations of over 200+ scientific and research papers, showcasing groundbreaking studies and innovations in surgical care. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to view more than 25+ surgical videos, demonstrating complex procedures and advanced techniques from leading surgeons. With four parallel sessions running each day, participants can tailor their experience to their interests and specialties.
