Description

Nepal Public Health Association (NEPHA) is a non-profit organization of Public Health professionals in Nepal, established in 1990. NEPHA aims to organize all the public health professionals and to develop their professional abilities for quality and people centered health care services in the country. It will also help the government and non-governmental organizations through providing input in the process of public health policy and program development, implementation and evaluation to improve health status of people of Nepal.

NEPHA envisions organized, competent and dynamic public health professionals working in a coordinated manner for improving health status and quality of life of people. NEPHA will provide leadership in organizing public health professionals all over the country to facilitate for their professional development so as to ensure quality of public health care services. It will also remain active for health awareness and advocacy to improve the national health care system and quality of public health education.

All public health professionals, both Nepali citizens and foreigners graduated from the recognized universities in the country or outside can be a life or general member of NEPHA. Currently there are more than 153 life members and 200 general members of Nepal Public Health Association.

Current executive committee was elected on 02 Ashwin 2065. Current Executive Committee includes: Mr Parashu Ram Shrestha (President), Mr Giriraj Subedi (Vice President), Dr Suresh Tiwari (General Secreatary), Basanta Adhikari (Secretary), Ms Shanta Maya Gurung (Treasure). Members are: Mr Deepak Paudel, Mr Achyut Lamicchane, Ms Ragishree Shrestha, Mr Badri Bahadur Khadka, Mr Rita Joshi Bhandari, and Mr Vijay Kumar Jha.
